I had the worst problem with farming in the forest, I could pretty much take everything down i wanted to but the spiders, couldnt time savage shot and my troll to put regen back up again so i keep dieing
Is there a way that you could farm here with the W/Me Build (if you bring mantra of lightning) instead of going to the beach?

Great post and thanks for sharing the build. I'm going to try this once I unlock the 2 mesmer skills for my ranger. Here's my a suggestion to modify this build.

IMO it's far better to use the mask of whichever attribute you need the most points in. Because of the nature of the points system, as you go higher you need a greater number of attribute points to go up one attribute level. For the sake of argument I'm using a WS mask.. so:
8+1 Expertise
11+2 WS
8+1 Marksmanship
8 Inspiration
This setup leaves you with with another 12 attribute points to play around with.
I haven't tried this build out but I was wondering why you need 13 WS because troll's unguent gives you +9 at 12 WS. Thanks.
EDIT: Sorry, dumb question. I'll answer it myself: More WS=more dmg from kindle arrows.

The worms do actually attack you if you run away from them. Looks like they are attacking fleeing enemies.
I do have some problems doing this, and the problem is to get safe to the right part of the forest. After I have killed all the enemies on the left side, I run across the road, the skeles do sometimes follow me, but I do get away from them most of the time. The main problem is when I am at the other side, because it comes many enemies at the same time then, and I keep dying. Any idea what I'm doing wrong?

this is how i take em' down... fire a PA {E} then a Savage Shot right after... the savage will interupt their AP... shoot another arrow after that to interupt their HS... now move up close with your short bow (assuming you won't aggro others... otherwise stick with your flatbow) now... the spider will attempt to use AP every 12 sec and HS every 20 sec... so just time em'... you'll get use to it

yeah that's right... usually w/e attribute you have the most points in is the type of mask you will want to wear... that's the beauty of of my req 8 bows as i can have a +10 Troll and +6 longer poison with a poisoners string

yeah the wurms are weird... it seems if you attack from the farthest range or something they'll attack you... but if you move up close to them they won't... their soo bugged...
anyways... running past the skele's isn't really that hard... just try not to get hit by their Wild Blow... after you lose aggro to them go slow and try to only spawn one spider... also watch out for the patrol... if you aggro more then one spider i usually keep running along the edge to the corner... then take everything out slowly from there...

Well, I tried another way. I ran around to the other entrance near the bone dragon, then I took the right part of the forest from there. The patrols are really nasty.

the skeletals are not the happiest bunch of NPCs roaming the plains 50 miles below the surface.

due to the insane amount of schoolwork this term, i'm afraid i can't be on GW as much as i'd like. even so, i don't really do personal lessons, because someone inevitably ends up dying :\

It is ridiculous how much easier this is than running around the outside to the other entrance. I feel like a moron for not noticing before. I guess I should break down and watch the video!

Your problem is probably that you use the -2 in stance bow? Use Drago's when you meet a group containing wood and shepherds, if not you'll get in range of the shepherds.

I soloed burning pits(not completely cause I got sick of the time it takes to kill the mobs due to healer monk and the stupid drops) If anyone got a really good drop at the pits, let me know and I'll probly try incorporating it to my runs, probly make a more efficient build as well.
I use an axe warr, I soloed it AFTER I cleared spiders. Problem is it takes too long, and the wurms are pretty much almost impossible if no impossible to kill w/ the skillset you'll have to bring, I haven't tried sword yet, but I might later on, maybe the bleeding gash 100blades might be able to kill it, but cleave, cyclone and penetrate don't do enough dmg to counter its regen due to high def and hp regen.
Also, I have an 18% axe pruning mod which I'll sell to luxon foes to fight against kurzick plant titans ^^ I'm holding on to it till then cause atm none is paying very well for em.
Also, the vid itself is good, not hard, but I would've been more interested in your pulling styles to engage skeletals and shadow. I failed to do it w/ my warr, although I aggroed skeles first and I got deep frozen early on, I used a long bow ofcourse. I also only made it to the entrance of the forest. I killed the first sheperds, but then trying to kill the wurms, I forgot to watch my radar then do raped by the patrols. Spirit of primal echoes is a bitch too.
